Benton County K-9 officer finds St. Cloud burglar in container

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - St. Cloud Police have a burglar in custody -- thanks to Benton County’s K-9 unit.

Just before 4 a.m. Friday, St. Cloud police were dispatched to the 500 block of Apollo Avenue Northeast in St. Cloud to respond to an alarm. Upon arrival, officers noticed two semi-trailers with open doors.

Benton County’s K-9 unit assisted in the search of the trailers, in which Lenny Paul Bissell, 38, of St. Cloud, was found hiding in a container.

Bissell was arrested for 2nd degree burglary, criminal damage to property and possession of burglary tools. Bissell was transported to Benton County Jail, where he will be held for court.
