ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) A Walker man charged in last month's shooting death of a man in Rockville made his first court appearance Thursday.
Twenty eight year-old Marcus Barshaw was in a wheelchair during his appearance in Stearns County District Court. His bail was set at three-million dollars.
Barshaw is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 30 year-old Jeffrey Schutz. Schutz was gunned down in an alley behind his home on October 21st. An autopsy showed Schutz was shot six times.
Barshaw did not speak during his court appearance, but the attorney representing him--John Foley--says Barshaw has a very limited recollection of what happened.
Barshaw was shot by a Stearns County deputy the same day Schutz was killed after he refused commands to drop weapons he was carrying.
Foley says all Barshaw can really remember is being shot by the deputy.
