EDEN VALLEY, Minn. (KNSI) A barn in Stearns County was destroyed Saturday night in a fire caused by a lightning strike.

The barn at the Stanley Peglow residence at 19434 228th Avenue is located about five miles north of Eden Valley in Eden Lake Township.

The fire call came in just after 8:00 pm, and the barn was fully engulfed when the Eden Lake and Chain of Lakes fire departments, Paynesville Ambulance and Stearns County Sheriff's Office responded.

No animals were kept in the barn, and there were no reports of injuries.
