ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) The St. Cloud School Board has given the go-ahead to a grade reconfiguration plan that will send the remainder of St. Cloud's in-city sixth graders to junior high schools next year.

The move affects sixth grade students at Talahi, Lincoln and Westwood schools.

They're the only St. Cloud schools that have retained sixth grade students in an elementary school setting since the district began transitioning them to junior high schools in 2008.

The board also agreed to further discuss making Clearview Elementary a kindergarten through eighth grade school.

Clearview is on the edge of Clear Lake--15 miles southeast of St. Cloud.
