ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) - Sixth District Congresswoman Michele Bachmann was in St. Cloud last night, speaking to a gathering of more than 100 people at a Tea Party gathering at Michael's Restaurant.
Bachmann told the audience it's crucial for Republicans to win the presidency and control of the U.S. Senate in November so they can repeal the health care reform law before many of its provisions take effect in 2014. Bachmann also said U.S. national sovereignty is threatened by those who wish to subject it to global authority.
Running for here fourth term in Congress, Bachmann faces Democrat Jim Graves in this fall's election.
On Thursday, Bachmann announced she raised one-point-seven million dollars in the second quarter, compared to 413-thousand dollars for Graves, which included a 150-thousand dollar personal loan.
