AVON, Minn. (KNSI) A home in Avon Township was destroyed by fire early Wednesday morning.

The fire was reported just before 3:00 a.m. at a home at 33268 185th Avenue owned by Kayla Lukaswicz and David Ratcliff.

When deputies and firefighters arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames. The occupants of the home--and their pets--got out safely. There were no injuries.

The home and most personal belongings are a total loss. The cause of the fire is believed to be electrical, but is under investigation.

Stearns County sheriff's deputies, Avon Fire, Albany Fire and Gold Cross Ambulance assisted at the scene.
