BENSON, Minn. (KNSI) Authorities have released the name of a truck driver injured this week when his truck slammed into a train on U.S. Highway 12 in Swift County.

Eric Westin of Pine City was taken to St. Cloud Hospital where he was listed in critical but stable condition.

Westin was hauling a load of anhydrous ammonia. Tuesday's accident caused the chemical to leak, forcing evacuations in an area between Murdock and DeGraff.

The engine of the BNSF train hit the tanker, pushing it off the road. The section of highway remains closed as the anhydrous is offloaded from the tanker. The sheriff's office says the closure could last up to four days.
