REDWOOD FALLS, Minn. (AP) - Authorities have arrested more than two dozen people in a drug sweep in southwestern Minnesota.

Redwood County Attorney Steven Collins says 21 defendants appeared in court Tuesday after being arrested earlier in the day. Four others were arrested earlier and appeared in court last week.

Collins says most of the arrests were in Redwood Falls and on the Lower Sioux Indian Reservation.

The felony charges involve sale and possession of drugs. The drugs include heroin, cocaine, methamphetamines and marijuana as well as prescription drugs.

The yearlong investigation was led by the Brown-Lyon-Lincoln-Redwood-Renville Drug Task Force and focused on Redwood County.

KLGR-AM reports more arrests are possible.
