ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) Ryan Daniel is settling in to his new position as executive director at Metro Bus in St. Cloud, and is working on a couple of major projects for the new year.

Daniel says buses in the Metro Bus fleet are being converted from diesel to compressed natural gas. He says that is, "easily a $10 million project."

Additionally, the former Tri-CAP building is being renovated and will serve as the new employee training center for Metro Bus.

Daniel says they have 23 new buses on order with New Flyer. Going forward, he says he's like to see the bus garage expanded and remodeled as the move to the compressed natural gas fleet is being made.

Daniel came to St. Cloud late last summer from Washington D.C. to replace David Tripp, who retired after a 33 year career.
