ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) Minnesota Department of Transportation Commissioner Charlie Zelle was in St. Cloud Wednesday to talk transportation issues with local residents.
Zelle heard about the need to expand Interstate 94 between the Twin Cities and St. Cloud.
Zelle says the meeting, "opened his eyes" about how passionate people are about transportation issues and how they impact, "the prosperity of their city."
Zelle says 50-percent of the pavement in Minnesota is at least 50 years old. He says expanding Interstate 94 is a priority, but gettiing it done quickly is another matter, because as Zelle says, "we just don't have the funding."
