ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) The morning commute was no problem Thursday morning, but the drive home will be an entirely different story.

A February snowstorm will roll through the Upper Midwest Thursday, dumping heavy snow and whipping up winds that will cause considerable blowing and drifting.

The St. Cloud area is in a Winter Weather Advisory until noon Friday. Around four inches of snow is expected in St. Cloud. That would bring the city to the 50 inch mark for the winter. But National Weather Service meteorologist Joe Calderone says much heavier snow will fall in southeast Minnesota and western Wisconsin--up to a foot in some places.

The Twin Cities is in a Winter Storm Warning, and south-central and southeast Minnesota--inlcuding Mankato, New Ulm Albert Lea and Red Wing are in a Blizzard Warning.
