FOLEY, Minn. (KNSI) Investigators are hoping an increased reward will help shake loose some key information in the Jamie Wiley murder investigation.
One week ago today, Tri-County CrimeStoppers announced the reward fund in the case was bumped up to $5,000.
Benton County Sheriff's Department Chief Deputy Troy Heck says, "we know that there are people out there that know things that happened in this case, and we're really encouraging them to come forward. That's going to be the key to help up solve this and bring justice for Jamie and his family."
Wiley was reported missing in mid-December 2013. His body was found along Benton County Road 75 between Mayhew Lake Road and East St. Germain Street.
Wiley died of a gunshot wound. Heck would not say how long Wiley might have been dead before his body was discovered.
