ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis says an update should be coming soon on plans for the city's new aquatic center.
Late last year, the city announced it was partnering with the YMCA on the project, and that Whitney Park was the chosen location.
In 2004, St. Cloud voters approved using 10-million sales tax dollars to help fund the project. Preliminary plans call for the aquatic center to be 130,000 square feet in size, with 280 on-site parkikng spaces.
Kleis says at a study session in August or September, the city council will get an update on fundraising and long-term operational costs.
