SAUK RAPIDS, Minn. (KNSI) Sunday was scheduled to be opening night for another season of racing at Granite City Speedway in Sauk Rapids--but Mother Nature has won out.

Track promoter Chris Stepan says with all the rain we received this week, the track is simply too wet to race this Sunday, so opening night has been pushed back to Sunday May 11th.

Stepan says the track has purchased some new behind-the-scenes equipment for this season, including a new grader for the track. He says new lights will also be going up in a couple of weeks that will better illuminate the track.

More information on the season ahead can be found at www.gcspeedway.com
