ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) A soaking rain will move into the St. Cloud area Monday night, with the potential to drop 2 or more inches of rain before it ends.

National Weather Service meteorologist Chris Franks says light rain will move into central Minnesota Monday morning, and then pick up in intensity Monday night into Tuesday.

Franks says it will be a cold rain, with highs only in the 40s to near 50 degrees, and overnight lows in the 30s and lower 40s.

Franks says the coldest air of the season will settle into Minnesota late this week into the weekend. Highs on Friday are expected to be in the 40s.

The normal high and low in St. Cloud are now 58 and 36.
