ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) Winter weather will make its presence felt in Minnesota on two fronts this week.

National Weather Service forecaster Dan Effertz says first, several bouts of light snow are expected Monday through Wednesday. The heaviest amounts are expected in northwestern Minnesota, where six inches or more could fall.

The snow will be followed by bitterly cold temperatures. By Friday, highs will struggle to get above zero, with overnight lows in the teens below zero.
