ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) Some 2,000 Boy Scouts from a 12 county area across central Minnesota are holding their annual Scouting For Food Drive tomorrow (Saturday).
Dave Trehey is the executive director of the Boy Scouts of America Central Minnesota Council. He says particpants are asked to place non-perishable canned or boxed foods in a plastic bag and have it out on their front door step by 9 am Saturday.
The Boy Scouts will pick it up and take it to Catholic Charities where it will be sorted and divided up between Catholic Charities and the St. Cloud Salvation Army.
Trehey says they expect to collect between 75,000 and 100,000 pounds of food.
He says with rain in the forecast, put your food in plastic bags, and not cardboard boxes.
