ST. CLOUD (KNSI) - The Winter Nights and Lights parade may be cancelled, but bitterly cold weather hasn't put the kibosh on EVERYTHING going on here in St. Cloud tomorrow.
Mayor Dave Kleis tells KNSI St. Cloud's very first traditional outdoor German Christmas market - or Weihnachtsmarkt - will still be held on Saturday afternoon.
"These markets take place all over Germany outside," Kleis explains. He says the event will be held in a large tent with heaters, and will feature traditional German food, cookies, hot mulled wine, apple cider and hot chocolate.
Kleis says the Paramount Theatre will also be displaying handmade crafts for sale, and attendees will walk away with their own traditional German mug.
The market will be hosted from 4-6 p.m. at the World Heritage Corner - that's right downtown at 523 St. Germain St.
It's free and open to all.
