ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) The Minnesota Department of Transportation is holding a meeting in St. CLoud this (Wednesday) afternoon as they seek public input for a statewide bicycle system plan.
MnDOT transportation planner Greta Alquist says Minnesota is often recognized as one of the most bike-friendly states in the country, and the best way to make it even better is by hearing from people who use the highways, bike lanes and shoulders to bike.
Feedback from today's meeting and eight others across the state that are being held through mid-May will help MnDOT identify and recommend routes, improve existing facilities and more effectively address the needs of bicycle riders in Minnesota.
Today's meeting is from 4 to 6 pm at the Whitney Senior Center. An open house will be held from 6-7 pm.
