JAMESTOWN, N.D. (KNSI) The North Dakota-based non-profit organization Farm Rescue reaches a milestone today (Thursday).

They will be helping their 300th farm family since their inception in 2006.

Farm Rescue provides planting and harvesting support with volunteer manpower and donated equipment to help farm families who are suffering from illness or injury.

Founder and President Bill Gross says, "it's good for all of us. It takes the burden away and the worries. " 

Farm Rescue volunteers its services across North and South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota and eastern Montana. They're helping 50 farm families this year alone. And the 300th overall receipient will have their corn crop near Fergus Falls harvested by Farm Rescue volunteers today.
