ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) With a little more than two weeks until Christmas, the St. Cloud Salvation Army'S Red Kettle Christmas Campaign is lagging about $30,000 behind the pace of a year ago.
Major Lee Morrison says a lot of that has to do with the extremely cold weather. He says at some locations, the kettles are being moved inside to escape wind chill readings around 30 below zero.
This year's goal is ro raise $225,000. Morrison says he thinks that's still reachable, but only if they get enough volunteers to staff kettle locations around the greater St. Cloud area.
If you can volunteer for a two hour shift, call Shannon at 257-7437.
