ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) Republican guberrnatorial candidate Scott Honour campaigned in St. Cloud Tuesday.

Honour is a political newcomer--having never held elected office before. So that means the Orono businessman is spending a lot of time introducing himself to voters.

He describes himself as a "business guy, third generation Minnesotan born in Fridley and grew up in Mound."

Honour says he's spent the past 20 years" buying and fixing companies" and he says he "got fed up with watching all the bad decisions being made in St. Paul."

Honour says he'd like to see state government focused more on outcomes than the dollars being spent. He says he wants to create a "pro-business environment" and create more jobs.

Honour is one of four Republicans seeking the nomination to run against Mark Dayton. The others are Hennepin County Commissioner Jeff Johnson,, former House Speaker Kurt Zellers and State Senator Dave Thompson of Lakeville.
