DETROIT LAKES, Minn. (KNSI) Traffic in and around the Detroit Lakes area will be heavy from now through the weekend as the annual outdoor music festival known as We Fest is held.
Jeremiah Moerke is with MnDOT's District 4 office in Detroit Lakes. He says drivers can expect delays and should prepare for sudden stops. He says traffic on Highway 10 is expected to be most significant on Sunday August 10th, as drivers head home from the event.
He says motorists should expect delays on Highway 59 in Pelican Rapids and eastbound Highway 10 from Bluffton to Wadena.
Additionally, a bridge replacement project east of Moorhead will impact travel between the Fargo-Moorhead area and Detroit Lakes. Traffic is reduced to a single lane in each direction at the Buffalo River near Glyndon.
