ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) Spring officially arrives in St. Cloud on Thursday, and before it gets here, central Minnesota will see one more major blast of winter.

A Winter Storm Warning is posted for the area from 1 am Tuesday until 7 am Wednesday. Heavy snow is expected at  times Tueseday, with the heaviest snow falling in a line from Redwood Falls to St. Cloud to Mora.

National Weather Service forecaster Joe Calderon tells KNSI News 9 to 12 inches of snow is expected in the St. Cloud area before it tapers off late Tuesday.

St. Cloud has already received 54-and-a-half inches of snow this winter.
