ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) Now is a good time to be filling up at the pump, with gas prices as their lowest levels since 2010.

Triple-A Minnesota's Gail Weinholzer says the statewide average in Minnesota is now $3.04 a gallon, In St. Cloud it's even less than that at $2.97.

Weinholzer says some stations in the Twin Cities are as low as $2.85 a gallon.  Nationally, the average price sits at $3.18

Weinholzer says there's no major reason for the recent drop in gasoline prices. She points to lower demand, stable crude oil prices, a mild hurricane season and little or no refinery problems.

She says it's likely that prices will creep back up before Thanksgiving, as demand goes up before the holiday weekend.
