ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KSI) The number of reports of frozen water lines in the city of St. Cloud this winter has now topped the 400 mark.
City Services Director Pat Shea says at last report, they had 402 reports of line freeze ups around St. Cloud. He says. "back in the early 90's, we had some 200 plus years, but this is a record for my tenure, and I would say for the city too."
Shea says people are still being advised to run their taps for the next week. "Our advice right now is really on a day to day, week to week basis, to keep letting it run. We're going to do a little social media notification to keep letting it run at least for another week, and potentially even longer than that."
Shea says he received reports from two area cities Thursday morning where they had people that had shut their water off and had lines "freeze, or re-freeze."
