ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) These are exciting times for the St. Cloud State University football team.
The Huskies have won playoff games each of the past two Saturdays by knocking off previously unbeaten teams on their home fields.
They'll try and do that again tomorrow (Saturday) when they travel to Maryville, Missouri to face Northwest Missouri State.
SCSU Athletics Director Heather Weems says, "there's a ton of excitement." She says last weekend in Mankato there were, "1,500 to 2,00 fans in red and black, and those fans were just excited."
Weems will be at Saturday's playoff game. Along the way, the Huskies stopped in Des Moines to get in a practice at Drake University, where Weems formerly worked as an associate athletics director.
Saturday's playoff game between SCSU and Northwest Missouri State kicks off at 12 noon, with coverage on KNSI Radio. The pre-game show begins at 11:30 with J.W. Cox and Matt Wood.
