ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) Students have been on summer vacation at St. Cloud Srtate--but not construction crews that are are putting the finishing touches on several multi-million dollar projects.
University President Earl Potter tells KNSI News that work on the ISELF building is wrapping up, with a ribbon-cutting scheduled for August 21st. That's a $45-million project.
ISELF stands for Integrated Science and Engineering Laboratory Facility.
Potter says work is also wrapping up on the renovation of Atwood Memorial Center. Five-million dollars worth of improvements are being made there--all paid for with student fees.
Lastly, work is nearly completed on the first phase of construction at the Herb Brooks National Hockey and Events Center. Potter says $18 million is being spent on phase one. He says officials from some pro hockey teams have toured the facility to get a look.
SCSU studentws move in the weekend of August 23rd. Classes begin on Monday August 26th.
