ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - With Independence Day comes the celebration with family, food and fireworks. St. Cloud Fire officials like Cheif Bill Mund want to make sure everyone is safe and within the law.
Mund says within the city limits the regulations mirror those across the rest of Minnesota. That means no fireworks that launch into the air and explode. It also matters where you are using your fireworks. Mund says they are outlawed on any public property.
As for what you can do, Mund says, in general, the fireworks for sale at local stores in the area are generally legal for use.
In a final reminder from Mund, even when it comes to something as simple as sparklers, adults should always be nearby to keep an eye on their children.
