ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) Talks about building a new bandshell at Lake George in St. Cloud are heating up once again.
Mayor Dave Kleis tells KNSI News it's a topic that will be discussed at tonight's Planning Commission meeting.
Kleis says a new bandshell would cost an estimated $260,000. The bill would be split between the St. Cloud Rotary Club and revenue from St. Cloud's half-cent sales tax.
Kleis says between events like Summertime By George and Granite City Days, it would get plenty of use, and be another asset for the city.
He says it's possible construction could begin yet this fall, with an opening in 2014.
