SAUK RAPIDS, Minn. (KNSI) Sauk Rapids police are investigating an armed robbery in which shots were fired.

Police Chief Perry Beise says it happend just before 7:30 Monday night at an apartment building at 1305 15th Street Northeast.

He says the suspect--a black male in his 20s, about six feet tall, wearing a hooded sweatshirt with a bandana over his face--pointed a handgun at the victim and took an undisclosed amount of money. 

The suspect then ran to a car that was parked across the parking lot with the engine idling.

Beise says during the robbery, the suspect fired his handgun twice. There were no injuries.
