FRIDLEY, Minn. (AP) — Police say they've made an arrest in the abduction and sexual assault of a woman in Fridley by a man who claimed to be a police officer.

The crime took place Saturday afternoon, Nov. 23. The woman said she was walking alone to her vehicle when a man drove up and identified himself as a police officer, then kidnapped her, held for several hours and sexually assaulted her.

The 35-year-old man in custody is from Brooklyn Park.
