ELK RIVER, Minn. (AP) — No one was hurt when two Northstar trains and a car collided near Elk River.
Metro Transit officials report that the car was struck by both northbound and southbound trains Tuesday evening.
The Star Tribune reports trains were delayed and buses were used to transport commuters.
Further details about the crash weren't available.
Tuesday's crash was the second train-car collision this week. A woman and her infant son escaped injury Monday morning when the car they were in was hit by a Northstar commuter train in Elk River.
