ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) Absentee voting begins today for a vacant state legislative seat in the St. Cloud area.

Republican small business owner Tama Thies, DFL'er Joanne Dorsher and Independence Party candidate Todd McKee are on the ballot to replace Republican Steve Gottwalt, who resigned his House District 14A seat earlier this month.

Absentee balloting will continue through February 11th. Applications can be obtained at the Stearns County Auditor's Office, or from their website.

The special election will be held February 12th.
