ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - An abandoned vehicle is being blamed for a fiery crash that injured three people just south of Rice.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 42-year-old Terrance Lee Gorecki of Royalton was headed south around 5:30 on Thursday morning when he hit a 1997 GMC Jimmy that was left unoccupied in a southbound lane of Highway 10 near 105 Street Northwest.

The crash caused both vehicles to burst into flames and pushed the GMC Jimmy into the median.

Gorecki along with his two passengers, 13-year-old Gabe Terrance Gorecki and 12-year-old Will Richard Gorecki also from Royalton, were taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The accident diverted traffic for over two hours.
