ST. PAUL, MN (AP) - Family members and friends say two men shot to death in St. Paul had played basketball together at Patrick Henry High School in north Minneapolis.
A St. Paul police spokesman says the two were shot about a mile apart. Police say neither death appears random, and no suspects are being sought. No one has been arrested.
The Star Tribune (http://bit.ly/NuRZiN) identifies the victims as Mandela Jackson and Jordan Hughes.
Hughes was found shot late Tuesday and died at Regions Hospital. Jackson was found shot shortly after 8 a.m. Wednesday.
Jackson averaged about 21 points per game as a senior in the 2007-08 season and led his team to the Class 3A State Tournament.
Jackson's brother, Jibreel Jackson, says family members have no clue about what led to the shootings.
