12 Year Prison Sentence for Sex Offender

ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) - A Sauk Centre man has been given 12 years in prison for repeatedly sexually abusing a young girl over a five year period.

Fifty two year-old Clinton Weilage was sentenced in Stearns County Court Thursday.

The victim told police investigators Weilage began having sex with her beginning in 1999 when she was 12, and it continued until she was 17.

Weilage is a repeat offender. He was also convicted of inappropriately touching a girl in the summer of 1997. He was given a stayed sentence on that conviction, but later served 27 months in prison for repeated probation violations.
