Woman Stole Basketball Association Funds

(KNSI) - A woman who stole thousands of dollars from the Albany Girls Basketball Association over two and a half years has been sentenced.
Kimberly Kae Ritzer of Avon, pleaded guilty to three felony counts of theft by swindle and had two other counts dismissed.
The 51-year-old was sentenced to 30 days in jail and five years probation. 22 days can be served on electronic home monitoring.
In October 2016, members of the girls basketball association confronted Ritzer, the association’s treasurer, about missing money.
Ritzer admitted to members that she had been taking money for personal expenses and resigned.
Ritzer stole $8,258.07 between March 2014 and September 2016.
According to court records she spent the money at Victoria's Secret, Hollister, Games by James, Ulta and several other St. Cloud stores.
