Winter Fun in St. Cloud Coming Next Weekend

(KNSI) - Next weekend is a busy one for winter fun in St. Cloud.
Winter Wonderland is taking over the Lake George Municipal Complex Saturday, December 14th.
From 1 to 4 Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand as kids create arts and crafts, decorate a cookie, and enjoy a hayride around the lake.
The big trucks will be rolling in again this year for Touch-a-Truck, where children can see, touch, and safely explore their favorite big trucks and heavy machinery.
Admission is free, but non-perishable food shelf items will be collected.
Downtown St. Cloud is hosting the Snowflake Stroll Downtown Shop Hop. There will be winter themed activities, discounts and prizes. That runs from 11 a.m to 5 p.m.
The city's Winter Nights and Lights Parade gets rolling through downtown St. Cloud starting at 5 p.m. The route takes parade units down West St. Germain Street.
The city's annual German inspired Christmas market, Wienachsmarkt is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in downtown St. Cloud. There will be a Christmas tree lighting, heated tents, plenty of traditional German food and drink such as Gluhwein, which is a warm, spiced wine, and Christmas cookies, Lebkuchen, which is like a gingerbread and, plenty of bratwurst and sauerkraut.
