(KNSI) - The St. Cloud Police Department has scheduled another training session to educate people on spotting counterfeit money.
The training session will be on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the police department.
The training has been provided previously and is intended for people that accept and handle U.S. currency in the St. Cloud area.
The police department says it only takes a few seconds to check if a bill is real, and the educated retailer and consumer continue to be the best line of defense against counterfeiting.
Registration is not required, but seating is limited 90 people.
KNSI News recently spoke with some local businesses which have stopped accepting bills larger than $20, and they say that has cut down on the number of fake bills people try to pass.
