(KNSI) - Local students channeled their inner rock star as they performed in front of a packed house at the Paramount Theatre.
The annual School of Rock convert is the culmination of a two-week summer camp at the Wirth Center For The Performing Arts.
During the camp, students from 6th to 12th grade learned how to 'rock' from area musicians like Tommy and Jeff Vee and Jeff Engholm of Collective Unconscious.
The students' hard work paid off during the School of Rock concert when they showcased their skills.
11 student bands, with names like "Threat Level Midnight", "Badd Education" and "Weapons of Brass Destruction" got the chance to perform two songs they had been honing.
From "Another Brick in the Wall" to "Summer of "69" to "Radio Ga Ga" the students brought the house down once again with their performances.
For the finale, all the rock students got up on stage as the instructors did a great rendition of "We're an American Band."
