(KNSI) - A St. Cloud man with a history of domestic assault is accused of beating a woman and his mother on Mother’s Day.
Officers say 20-year-old Richardo Sutorise Williams was arguing with a woman, identified in the criminal complaint as his significant other, because he refused to leave around 10 a.m. on Sunday. They have two children together.
According to the criminal complaint, Williams tried to take the woman's phone and keys and then punched her multiple times.
Williams' mother says when she tried to get him to stop he started throwing punches at her.
According to the complaint, the assault happened in front of Williams' 12-year-old brother and the two children.
Investigators say the brother tried to call 911 but Williams took the phone away from him. He then ran to a neighbor to call for help.
Police say when they went to arrest Williams he tried to fight them and struggled with officers as he was arrested.
The woman refused to give police a statement.
Williams has been charged with four counts of felony domestic assault, three counts of violating a domestic abuse not contact order, interfering with a 911 call and obstructing a peace officer.
His bond was set at $100,000. His next court date is June 5th.
In February, a judge issued a domestic abuse no contact order barring Williams from having any contact with the woman or their children.
Williams has prior convictions for domestic assault and criminal damage to property on April 12th in which the woman was the victim.
He also has a conviction for 4th degree assault of a peace officer for trying to spit on an officer when he was arrested on a warrant on April 3rd.
Williams pleaded guilty to those charges and is scheduled to be sentence to 120 days in jail on May 22nd.
