(KNSI) - The Sartell-St. Stephen School District will show off its new $89.5 million high school on Saturday.

The Sartell High School community open house, 3101 Pinecone Road North, will kick off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11:00 a.m. and goes to 4:00 p.m.

There is also a dedication ceremony at 2:00 p.m.

People can then take self-guided tours or have students help guide them and provide information.

There are also QR codes - bar codes that can be scanned with a mobile device to provide more information - around the building.

Students started class in the new building on September 3rd. Construction on the 300,000 square foot school began in May 2017.

The school has enough space to hold up to 1,500 students.

This year marks Sartell High School's largest enrollment with 1,325 students.

In 2016, voters approved a referendum of $105.8 million for the new high school. The remaining money will go toward the remodels of the other schools.

St. Cloud Tech High School is holding a similar grand opening event for their new high school on Monday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
