Man accused of Burglary, Sexual Assault

(KNSI) - A man is accused of breaking into a woman’s apartment in St. Cloud and sexually assaulting her.
According to the criminal complaint, the woman woke up to Venkatram Ramauath on top of her around 4 a.m. on Saturday.
Police say he broke into the woman’s apartment at 1212 Washington Memorial Drive, removed her clothing, held her down and sexually assaulted her.
The victim says she knew the 34-year-old man as “Ram” and he lived in her building.
She says he had been in her apartment before but wasn’t invited that night.
Ramauath is charged with 1st degree burglary assault, 3rd degree criminal sexual conduct and 4th degree criminal sexual conduct.
He is being held on $150,000 bond. His next court hearing is scheduled for Monday.
