(KNSI) - Friday is your last chance to pick one of five names for the Waite Park amphitheater currently under construction.

City officials say there is a different meaning behind each distinct name.

The names are The Ledge, Transformer, The Gem, Skyview, and Bedrock.

The ledge, for all the different rock ledges that dot the landscape around the facility.

The name transformer was chosen because the name of the quarry on the amphitheater site was called the Transformer Quarry.

Bedrock was chosen because of the bedrock that exists above and below ground at the site.

The Gem was chosen because a gem is a precious stone and the city says the property the amphitheater occupies is a gem with all of the different rocks that make it so unique.

Skyview was chosen because the city says the views of the sky from the amphitheater will be awe-inspiring.

The city council narrowed down the names from nearly 100 suggestions from the public.

Votes will be accepted until 4:30 on Friday afternoon to vote online and by paper ballot at Waite Park City Hall.

The winning name will be revealed on Monday during an open house at the amphitheater from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
