(KNSI) - Apollo High School in St. Cloud is closed Thursday as crews clean up after a fire.

The fire department was called at 9:02 Wednesday night. Firefighters kept the fire damage to the classroom but several other classrooms and hallways were damaged by smoke.

Fire officials say the fire was an accidental construction fire but haven't said exactly what caused the fire.

The school district says the school's HVAC system was being worked on. Firefighters say Apollo's sprinkler system was not operational at the time of the fire because it was being worked on.

No one was hurt. Officials don't have a damage estimate at this time.

The district says the school will also be closed on Friday as the cleanup continues.

There will be no activities or community education classes.
