(KNSI) - Dancing with our stars Live! raised almost $200,000 for a variety of charities. Held in the Escher auditorium on the Saint Ben's campus, the evening was filled with colorful costumes, crazy dance moves and an abundance of generosity.

Local celebrities were paired up with professional dancers and danced for a charity of their choosing. For the past six months, they had been practicing for this night. First place received an additional $15,000 for their charity of choice, second place received $10,000, third place $5,000 and fourth through sixth $2,000. Score was determined by 60% dollars raised and 40% judge's score. The judges included professional dancers Bonnie Inveen and Nathan Daniels, last year's winner Chris Klimpel and guest judge St. Cloud Police Chief Blair Anderson.

The first place winner was Co-Owner of Integration Fitness Tanner Neubauer and his partner, Samantha Collen. They raised over $50,000 for Pathways 4 Youth, a nonprofit providing youth experiencing homelessness with the opportunity to learn about and gain access to resources to help them grow as individuals and be contributing members of the community.

The judge's choice award, an award based solely on dance skill, went to Founder of Next Monday, Michelle Pape and her partner David DeBlieck. They danced for the St. Cloud Area Family YMCA Supervised Visits Program. The judge's choice award gives an extra $3,000 to the chosen charity.

The event was hosted by the Women's Fund of the Central Minnesota Community Foundation, dedicated to supporting programs that enhance the lives of all women and children, involving women as leaders and donors in the process.
