(KNSI) - A cookie store in St. Cloud was robbed by a man with a gun on Tuesday morning.

Police were called to Insomnia Cookies in the 300 Block of 5th Avenue South just after 2:00 a.m.

Investigators say a male suspect entered the store, showed a handgun, and demanded money from the 26-year-old woman working.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the store on foot.

The suspect was last seen running in a Southeasterly direction.

The employee was not hurt during the incident.

No other persons were inside the store at the time of the robbery.

The suspect is a black male, 18-25 years of age, approximately 6' tall with a thin build and short hair, wearing black baggy sweat pants and a black sweatshirt.

Officers checked the area; however, the suspect was not found.

The investigation is currently active and being investigated by officers assigned to the St. Cloud Police Department's Campus Area Police Services (CAPS) unit. Call 320-345-4444.
