(KNSI/NBC) - A special meeting will be held to discuss allegations made against a police chief.
The St. Joseph city administrator says police chief Joel Klein was placed on paid administrative leave late Thursday after a complaint was made against him.
The administrator wouldn't comment on whether the allegation is related to Klein's job duties or personal life.
According to the city's online calendar a special closed meeting of the St. Joseph City Council will happen at 6 p.m. Monday to "discuss preliminary consideration of allegations against a city employee."
State law requires the meeting to be closed to the public.
Klein has been with the St. Joseph Police Department since 2001 and has been the police chief since 2013.
Sergeant Dwight Pfannenstein is the acting police chief.
