ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - A lot of thirsty people stopped by St. Cloud CiderFest on Saturday afternoon in downtown St. Cloud.

People had a chance to sample 130 different hard ciders and craft beers from 20 cideries and 20 breweries.

Cole Erie, Events Director for Leighton Broadcasting, says the event, in its 3rd year, is looking to attract all palates.

"The great opportunity here is that you get a chance to talk with the reps from these different breweries, and they can guide you to what your palate would like the most."

From what we saw, people at the event had no trouble getting their palate to agree with the vast variety of ciders and craft beers on hand.

This year CiderFest moved from Joe Faber Field, where the Rox play, to next to the River's Edge Convention Center.

"It's definitely a growing event and to move it to the downtown area is a great opportunity," Erie said.

He says, if you think hard cider or craft beer isn't for you, you might be surprised by what you find, and taste.

"To all those guys out there drinking the light beers, we have a lot of great ales that are easy to get into the craft beer world on, and the same thing with the ciders."
